Laura Scarborough United States Creative Jazz Experimental Contemporary Jazz 1974.06.8 Laura Scarborough Classically trained, Laura began her affair with the piano from the early age of 6. A multiple winner of competitions during her early school years, Laura was recognised for her expressive style, and participated in a workshop in Vienna, studying with Krassimira Jordan at the Bosendorfer Academy. Laura received a scholarship from the University of Texas, and completed her BA in Music. It wasn't until she was 22, that she began developing her talents in improvisation, composing, and singing. A unique blend of classical piano structure, and textural groove music. Laura's free-flowing, sulty vocal style, was influenced by the great female jazz singers. When Laura is not entertaining audiences, she works with children, and has established her own studio - developing unique methods for teaching piano. poppyseed Relatives categories : Vocal/Vocalists/S@ () Instruments/Keyboard/Piano/Bands_and_Artists/S@ () Instruments/Keyboard/Organ/Organists@ () Composition/Songwriting/Songwriters/S@ () Women_in_Music/Bands_and_Artists/S@ () Regional/North_America/United_States/Texas/Localities/Austin/Bands_and_Artists@ () ![]() Name : Laura Scarborough Style : "Creative Jazz" "Experimental" "Contemporary Jazz" Born : 1974.06.8 From : United States Resources : dmoz Releases : 2001 : album - The Project Live 2000 : album - Chapter One: Desire Appearence : 2001 : compilation - Govinda - Erotic Rhythms from Earth 1999 : compilation - Coffee Sessions, The Subcategories : Discography (6) Links (4) Reviews (0) BIOGRAPHY
